What is Open Hand?

Notre Dame Chapel Open Hand is the official emblem of the North Indian city of Chandigarh. Its design was conceived by Le Corbusier, the architect of the city. Le Corbusier is one of the world's most prolific architects. He was also a painter, designer and writer.

He was a true visionary and the impact of his work extends far outside the boundaries of architecture. He famously said “I prefer drawing to talking. Drawing is faster, and leaves less room for lies.”
